Absent Group Member

You are part of a four-person group assignment worth forty per cent of your grade. One member has not attended the last two meetings or contributed any work, and the deadline is in ten days. The others want to report him to the tutor. Speak to the group member: explain the group's concerns and negotiate how he will contribute.

Hey, thanks for meeting me. I wanted to talk about the group assignment. You've missed the last two meetings and we haven't seen any of your section yet, and with the deadline only ten days away we're getting worried. Some of the group want to raise it with the tutor, but I'd rather sort it out between us first. Is something going on that's making it hard to contribute? If you can take the literature review and send a draft by Monday, I think we can still finish on time. Does that sound fair?
