Membership Pause Request
The situation
You joined a local football club at the start of the season and paid for a full-year membership. You have now injured your knee and your physiotherapist says you cannot train for at least two months. Speak to the club manager: explain your injury, and ask whether your membership can be paused or partly refunded.
Model answer
Hi, thanks for making time to see me. I joined the club in March and paid the full-year membership upfront. Unfortunately, I injured my knee recently, and my physio has told me I can't play or train for at least two months. I'm keen to come back once I'm cleared, but it doesn't make sense to keep paying while I can't play. Would it be possible to put my membership on hold until I recover, or get a partial refund for those months? I can provide a medical certificate if needed. Thanks for understanding.
