Evening Meeting Times
The situation
You are in a four-person group for a marketing assignment due in three weeks. One member keeps scheduling meetings in the evenings when you work, and then makes decisions without you. You want to stay involved and avoid conflict. Speak to that group member: explain why the evening times do not work for you and propose an alternative arrangement.
Model answer
Hi, thanks for organising the meetings so far, I know it takes effort. I wanted to flag something, though. The evening sessions clash with my shifts at work, so I've missed the last two and found out about decisions afterwards. I really want to contribute properly. Could we try meeting on campus straight after our Tuesday lecture, when all four of us are already there? If that's not possible, maybe we could rotate times so everyone misses out equally. I'm also happy to take notes and share them after each meeting. What do you think?
