51 words, aim 20–23 seconds. No numbers. The passage ends without a full stop—let your voice fall on 'explain' anyway. Breathe after course, tongue, initiate.
Where marks are usually lost
Stress aus·TRA·lians, aus·TRA·lian, in·IT·i·ate on the second syllable, un·der·STOOD on the last, TEN·u·ous and COL·or·ful on the first. Don't hesitate before colloquialisms. Keep -s on tourists, locals, links, phrases, meanings.
General tip: Say 'colloquialisms' aloud once before you start so it doesn't trip you mid-sentence.
