Hallway Bike Storage

You share an apartment with a flatmate who has started keeping two bicycles in the narrow hallway. Hey, have you got a sec? I wanted to mention the bikes in the hallway. Last night I came in late, bumped into one in the dark and knocked it over, and luckily nothing was damaged. My bigger worry is that the hallway's pretty narrow, and if we ever had to get out in a hurry it could be a problem. Would you be open to keeping them on the balcony, or maybe we could ask the building manager about the bike cage downstairs? I'm happy to help move them. Thanks for understanding.
