Client Email Error
The situation
You are a junior staff member at an accounting firm. You have noticed that a colleague's email to a client, which copied you in, quotes last year's fee schedule rather than the current one. The client has not replied yet. Speak to your colleague: point out the error diplomatically and suggest how to correct it.
Model answer
Hey, sorry to interrupt, have you got a quick moment? I was just reading the email you sent to the client this morning, the one I was copied on. I might be wrong, but I think the fees quoted are from last year's schedule; the current rates went up slightly in July. I only noticed because I updated the template last week. Since they haven't replied yet, maybe we could send a short follow-up with the corrected figures before they act on it? I'm happy to draft it if that helps.
