How to answer: structure and key points

- Body paragraph 1: your main reason, with an example.
- Body paragraph 2: a second reason, or the other side and why it is weaker.
- Conclusion: restate your position in one or two sentences.
- Stay on the topic: a response that misses the topic scores zero on every trait.
An outline for this prompt
- The question: Can laws really change the way people act? State whether you agree or disagree.
- Position: I agree: laws shape behaviour, especially when they are enforced and backed by public support.
- Paragraph 1: Laws set clear rules and penalties, so people adjust their habits. Example: seatbelt or smoking rules leading most people to comply over time.
- Paragraph 2: Admit that laws alone may fail without enforcement or education; people may still break rules they think are unfair.
- Conclusion: Conclude that laws change behaviour best when combined with enforcement and public awareness.
These are key points and a structure written by RealPTE, not a script to memorise: say or write it in your own words.
