PTE Core to CLB calculator

Enter your four PTE Core skill scores to compare each with the published CLB chart. There is no single overall CLB; the result depends on each skill.

Use whole numbers from 10 to 90. PTE Academic scores cannot be converted with this table.

What do CLB 7 and CLB 9 mean?

CLB 7 requires at least Listening 60, Reading 60, Speaking 68 and Writing 69. CLB 9 needs 82, 78, 84 and 88 respectively. Four scores of 79 map to CLB 8, 9, 8 and 8, not CLB 9 in every skill.

CLB 7 is the Federal Skilled Worker first-language minimum and the CEC minimum for TEER 0/1. CLB 9 is a higher language-points benchmark, not a universal Express Entry eligibility requirement. FSTP and CEC TEER 2/3 have different minimums. Meeting a language threshold does not establish immigration eligibility or guarantee an invitation.

There is no overall CLB. Scores below this chart’s CLB 3 minimum are shown as below the published range. No CLB 1, 2, 11 or 12 values are inferred. Entering an AI practice estimate produces an estimated mapping, not an official result.
